We woke up on day two after getting about four hours of sleep.
I was able to have a nice chat with Rachel over Skype. She has been keeping me supplied with adorable photos of Greta & Henry. I miss them all terribly. While I was on the phone, Julien went up and scouted out the continental breakfast on the rooftop terrace. By the time he came back I was ready to head up and he joined me.
The view was pretty fantastic.
Breakfast was meh, standard hotel freebie fare, but it filled us up and saved us a few bucks. I'll look for a good place for breakfast when we're in Venice.I'm writing this while in line at the Vatican. Looks like we're getting close, so I'll pick this up later. Not to get ahead of myself, but we just saw the Pope in St. Peter's Square, well, on the big screens anyway. We were busy fighting our way through hordes of pilgrims and tour groups. TBC...
